SIG-CMSS: Cognitive Models in Social Simulation

The SIG-CMSS: Cognitive Models in Social Simulation aims to create a space & meeting point to discuss cognitive models in social simulation, stimulate the use of cognitive models in social simulation and start a movement to communicate more explicitly the choices & assumptions underlying agent behaviour in social simulation models. It regularly organises thematic and panel session at SSCs.

The SIG-CMSS leaders are Nanda Wijermans (Stockholm Resilience Centre, Stockholm University, Sweden) and Cara Kahl (Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg, Germany).

Here are a presentation and two audio files that were produced at SSC2014 SIG-CMSS sessions, in which participants discussed the representation, need and definition of cognition in social simulation models (presentationaudio 1 – audio 2).
