1. ESSA SIG-Reputation Communication
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From Mario Paulocci: Call For Participation -
http://www.essa.eu.org/simulation-wiki/ReputationSIGWiki
The ESSA (European Social Simulation Association) SIG on Reputation is coming! Please register your interest by writing to Mario Paolucci (mario.paolucci@istc.cnr.it). Suggestions and advice welcome.
Initiatives include a proposal for an AAMAS workshop (in collaboration with the Trust workshop, http://www.istc.cnr.it/T3/events/aamas/trust2008.html), website
collaboration, a workshop co-located with the ESSA Conference, the unavoidable mailing list, possibly a presence on social networking websites.

Researcher in complex systems
Volterra Consulting, based in SW London, is recruiting a researcher with a strong mathematical background.
This post is to assist Paul Ormerod, who is one of the directors.  We especially wish to expand research and development capabilities in the areas of agent based models, complex systems and the analysis of networks in the social sciences.
Prior knowledge of the social sciences is not essential. The ability to help develop models in programming environments such as Matlab will be important.  There will be opportunities to publish in academic journals.
The post is for a fixed term of 2 years.  We will consider either a full-time or a part-time arrangement of at least 17.5 hours a week.  An ability to start in the near future will be an advantage.  Volterra Consulting is an equal opportunities employer.
Please send CVs and a covering letter to Sandra Osborn sosborn@volterra.co.uk
